Baby Sage and Buzzing Bees

With summer well underway and a newborn baby in the house, it allows for time to slow down and stay still for brief moments to view the surrounding environment. Flowers bloom and sway in the breeze as bees go about their business, carefully navigating their way into the depths of each flower blossom.

As I practice the art of manual focusing a telephoto video camera, what better subject than bees on the move through a flower garden to improve follow focus? Practice, practice... No matter the discipline, the more you practice, the better you will get.

Here's a look at an edit featuring baby Sage napping in the shade on the front step as bees go about their business in the flower garden. (Click here to view, or the video window below)

It is amazing to see the bees pollinating the flowers up close and personal. Dedicated, diligent, and delightful. It is equally amazing to see a precious little baby napping carefree on a summer's day.
